Step 1. Raiden emerging (04.04.2013.)

Here is the basic sketch of the body that I started 04.04.2013. as I wanted to do drawing again, and this time solely using my imagination. The inspiration comes from Raiden - a main character in Metal gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. I was also considering doing him in a more cyber ninja way from MGS:Revengerance but I ditched that idea because I would probably suck at it now :D

Step 2. More details (09.05.2013)

After waiting for little more than a month, here it is. Started doing details on the arm with katana and both legs. Because this pencil sucks, it's kinda very hard to do shadows so I think I'll leave it alone and do it in the final stages. From now on, I will only be doing a details and finishing arms and legs, and katana too. Maybe after all that I will see if I'm going to add background to it, or not. ;)

Step 3. New arrival (13.05.2013.)

Raiden is on 'vacation', so I started on parallel picture. This here is famous Toyota Corolla AE86 (or Corolla GTS) - Hachiroku. It is a popular car choice for drifters because of great weight distribution, and more importantly, it's RWD. This one is enhanced by bodykit, additional fenders, big wing spoiler, carbon fiber hood, and weight reduction of interior + built up roll-cage. Under the hood is 4AG-E Blacktop 20v engine, natural aspirated ofcourse which produces around 180 hp, and body weight is just 950 kg.

TRD sticker stands for Toyota Racing Development.

Akina Speed Stars is name of the group of drivers in anime Initial D. That anime also helped in making this vehicle a cult one.

This one is parked in front of some made up old Japanese house.. I'm not so sure how will it end up, but I think it will be good.

Step 4. Some colors... (28.06.2013.)

As it can be seen, I started to add colors little by little. The background is mostly done so I just need to finish it coloring and that's it. The picture was in this state already in 03.06.but I forgot to post it here. My bad :D

Step 5. Third rival (30.06.2013.)

Here we have a young yakuza with his pinky finger cut off due to his misbehaving in the past, so he approved the trust that higher rank yakuzas or his boss-es put in him. Behing him is a reflection of ancient Japan samurai in the black sky.

The main theme that I tried to represent here is, even though times have radically changed in the several centuries, certain level of obedience, trust, and hierarchy still runs in the veins of Japanese people. Wether they are proud samurai-es or notoriuos yakuzas. So there is a clash of old and new.

On the left is modern building with modern tarmac road and young and restless yakuza. Higher sing is supposed to say " Rigid hierarchy obedience" and lower one is "Yakuza". On the right is ancient Japanese house with an old road and a reflection of samurai in the black sky.

The cental poin is road peak so that's why I tried to create rounded surrounding to add more impact in the middle.

My original idea in my head was supposed to have more enviroment and slight changed silhouette of samurai but I guess I still suck at depicting my inspiration exactly as I've seen it in my mind.

Step 6. Meet miss Tena (04.07.2013.)

After a little bit of mocking, this lady wanted me to draw a picture of her. I'm still under the impression that I could do better in the face department so it looks more like her. But I guess it's alright so I'll finish it. Hair needs further work.

Step 7. GRF futuristic style (20.10.2013.)

Futuristic piece of work in progress with GRF logo on it. GRF stands for Graphic Faculty. I took some inspiration from Wip3out with many different objects and shapes. number 893 has a hidden meaning though.
